Called "The midwife of modern midwifery" by Salon, legendary midwife Ina May Gaskin has practiced for nearly forty years at the internationally lauded Farm Midwifery Center. Gaskin is celebrated around the world for demonstrating the magic key to safe birth--respect for the natural process--and she’s bringing her message to the Twin Cities!
Ina May will be speaking on her new book, Birth Matters: A Midwife's Manifesta, a spirited manifesta showing us why birth matters to us ALL, and how to trust women, value birth, and reconcile modern life with a process as old as our species.
This event is open to the public. Ina May will sign copies of the new book after the event. Books will be available for sale for $15 (cash only).
